Note: This is a demo-based, instructor-led online (D-ILO) class. It is an Internet based class with a live instructor, so please do not make travel arrangements. After you receive confirmation that you are enrolled, you will be sent further instructions on how to access audio and video. This course is intended to provide you with an introduction to iSCSI storage concepts as they relate to AIX and Linux on IBM Power systems. We will configure iSCSI devices within these operating systems, and see how to utilize Power firmware menus to manage installation and booting from iSCSI devices. Our discussion will include configuring an IBM N Series storage server to act as an iSCSI storage appliance, and we will interact with a TCP/IP Offload Engine (TOE) adapter. This course uses a combination of instructor lecture and instructor-led demonstrations to provide you with practical background knowledge of the topics covered.
