This course describes the concepts and configuration details when implementing PowerVM Live Partition Mobility, which is available for POWER6 and POWER7 processor-based servers. You will learn the requirements of Live Partition Mobility and will see the configuration of HMCs, Virtual I/O Servers, and partitions in preparation for an active or inactive migration. Instructor demonstrations will allow you to see configuration and testing of Live Partition Mobility operations. This course uses a combination of instructor lecture and instructor-led demonstrations to provide you with practical background knowledge of the topics covered.
